15300 - polished or not?
HiJust wanted your opinion on my newly acquired 15300. It seems to be in very good shape, but I've never had the chance to compare polished vs not polished. Take a look at these photos and let me know what you think. Thanks
44mm bezel size
I went to an AP AD yesterday and tried a 44, it was the steel version, and one thing was striking, the bezel was much thinner in width than the bezel on my CE diver, is that the case for all 44mm models? When I see pics of the RG it doesn't seem to be the case, also when I saw the CE 44 it didn't strike me as well, but yesterday it's the first thing I noticed, do all the 44's have the exact same bezel? When you look at the AP website the SS 44 does seem to have a much thinner bezel than the CE 44, clearly thinner than the diver's bezel as well, I thought that the bezel was the same for all 44's and find it quite strange that the bezel on a 44 is thinner than the ones on 42's… Here's the link to the AP page where you can see it, of all the 44's the SS seems to have a much thinner bezel than the others, wonder why they made a thinner bezel for this mdel and not the same bezel for all :.audemarspiguet/fr/wat...l-oak-offshoreThanks for your answer to my existential question
OUT with the reduced, IN with the PRO!
Well, I'm probably not the first nor the last person who went through this :) I posted some photos earlier after I picked up my first speedy reduced (3520.50) it was a beautiful watch but I was very quickly (1month later) finding the Speedy Pro harder and harder to resist. I dealt with a fabulous dealer here named Kirill. Outstanding guy, straight shooter, great communication, the works! (Thanks Kirill) I'm now the new owner of the Pro! Some pics without further delay. After enjoying it on the bracelet for a couple of hours I decided to take a little bit of this beautiful super soft leatherAnd went to workTurned in into thisNow it can look like that! :)
Another Vintage Omega, How'd I do?
The other day I broke one of my rules about never buying a watch on eBay. I have been looking at 1960s Seamasters, and came across one on eBay that I thought looked rather clean, but not too clean for a 40+ year old watch, and decided I would roll the dice and take a chance.Since there have been an increase in posts in this forum about vintage Omegas, I thought I'd post mine, and see what people have to say, especially since I bought it in a manner that I would typically avoid.I am curious if anyone sees anything I missed. It is listed as a 1967 Seamaster, 166.010.I got the watch today, but these photos are the seller's.
Inevitability
If you're a true WIS (either hardcore or not so hardcore) is the road to Patek inevitable?
