Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar
Had a chance to try this beauty on at the boutique in Tokyo this week. I'd say it is pretty close to a perfect daily wearer in stainless steel at a fairly reasonable price point. The moon phase is the best I have seen.

What's the big deal w/ Patek & AP? Why are they so coveted? I guess I just don't get it. I would take my 116619LB any day of the week over anything either of those two brands puts out. Am I missing something? Neither is as functional as my submariner.... With that being said, someone please sell me on either brand because I'm open to expanding my collection but I just need to feel good about it. Nothing says satisfaction like a PM Rolex Sub IMHO.
Recent discontinued models (help)
Hi guys,I have recently fallen in love with Panerai but am yet to own one.I am looking at purchasing either a 000, 112 or 111. It seems that as these models are discontinued and that they are going for quite a bit used.An example of this is a 2010 000 on watchfinder for ?3150 or a 2006 111 for ?4000.Am I right in saying these are expensive? If so what would you advise in terms of obtaining one of these models? Thanks

Hey Fellas, just came across this on my FB. Seems that they have pro models in stock. They are the only AD in PR and I've purchased from them. Maybe they can do a phone order and ship to the states since PR is a US Territory. Things there are not that good after the hurricane so I'm assuming you might even get a deal. Its worth the shot! I'm all set for xmas after I got my AP-RB but maybe some of you can score a good pro at retail. Happy Holidays to all!
