Joining The AP Family; My First AP!
I don't know how to properly convey my feelings on acquiring my first AP. This is sort of a big deal to me and quite the journey as I have wanted one for some time now but things kept getting in the way.I came very close to buying a 15400 blue dial last year but about a decade ago my father got his watches stolen which destroyed him and I felt I should get him a timepiece instead of indulging myself so I ended up getting him a JLC Grand Reverso Calendar.Fast forward to life getting in the way here and there with work and new housing and I lost interest in awhile as I kept wearing an Apple Watch for my active life. I always kept in the loop on the forums and other sites/blogs/youtube.My first nice watch was a new Milguass GV and subsequently I picked up a pre-owned Speedmaster Moonphase on rolexforums for fun. I am a fan of all Royal Oaks but oddly the watch I had always coveted and often seen in boutiques and shops while travelling was the 15400OR silver dial on brown leather strap. Fo
Opinion needed on AP 15202 finish vs scratch
I slightly loathe myself for asking this question, but here goes anyway. I have been enjoying the 15202 that I bought about a month ago immensely. I absolutely am head over heels in love with it. Because I am super OCD about QC issues (been burned in the past), I inspected the heck out of the watch before I actually paid for it at the boutique. Looked at the dial and movement under a high powered loupe. Everything is perfect. The other day I noticed that one of the teeth between the non-removable links had a scratch on it. I put scratch in quotes because I literally don't know how the heck it could have gotten there. It's only on the tooth - and not on the actual link - and I can still see the vertical finishing. But, I'm also aware of AP's stellar QC and how the bracelets are finished - by dragging it across the diamond sandpaper. Neither the link above or below it have this on it. In fact, it's not even the whole link... just the middle left portion of it. I'm 99.9% sure this is some

Would a WG 5167 have a chance in the family?
Random thought of the day...Between the SS and the Rose Gold, do you think a WG 5167 would be successful (more so than either of the current models)? I think it's hard sometimes if a SS and WG are too similar (unless just slightly unique, like a WG Blue Sub).
It's important to keep it above the water
so it's not gets rusty.
