A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Tourbillon Limited Edition Watch Available On James List
Here is a rare watch from favorite German luxury watch maker A. Lange & Sohne. If you can take yourself back to the bubble building times of the year 2000, you'll recall just how sexy the idea of a tourbillon watch was. This was before a "mere tourbillon" was not enough, and when the complication was gaining steam as the haute mechanical wonder to wear. At this time most consumers still had no idea what the odd, but cool looking complication was. Later most consumers finally learned that the complication was in fact cool to look at, but of questionable value from utilitarian perspective. But who cares really, you don't get a $100,000 watch for utilitarian purposes.2000 to 2003 saw the production of this mini-era defining watch. It took the Lange 1 watch design that really brought A. Lange & Sohne into the modern era and put a tourbillon in it. The area on the dial normally reserved for the subsidiary seconds dial, was now used for a partially open dial showing the tourbillon an
Best tools for changing straps on ROO Offshore Panda
Hi everyone,I just acquired my first Royal Oak Offshore after a lot of thinking and consideration. I've been meaning to change the straps on it because it came with a short strap which is too short for me. I can't wear the watch properly except on the very last whole which makes the alignment of the deployant on the underside at a very strange location. I got it together with this Grey Hornback from the newer 2014 ROO Grey Theme Elephant, but it does not have a buckle or any tools to change the straps with. The owner told me that I just need to find appropriate screwdrivers for it. I tried using my Panerai Screwdriver (for switching out buckles) but that is too large to fit. Does anyone have any recommendations for screwdrivers that would be able to change the straps of this watch? I see some places that the correct size is 1.4mm but according to research my Panerai Screwdriver is 1.4mm as well, which means it should theoretically work, but it doesn't. .ebay/itm/Bergeon-3008...item4ad3
Pastor Maldonado's Dad a Royal Oak Fan!!!
Pastor Maldonado from Venezuela won the Grand Prix of Catalunya today. At the time of the podium celebration they had a close up shot of his dad and I noticed he wears nothing but a gorgeous Royal Oak in SS. It looks like a 5402ST to me. However, it could also be a 15202 or a 15300. Not sure! What do you think? New to Omega, Which one?
I'm considering purchasing my first Omega and would love some feedback. I'm thinking of choosing between the Speedy and Seamaster Pro. First, neither is better suited for the life I actually live, only the life I would like to live - so either deep sea diving or space travel seems ok. I love the SMP and have even been looking at one with a black leather band. However, I also love the heritage of the Speedmaster and would love a manual wind tool watch. Any thoughts for an Omega newbie?
Tudor Ranger metal strap fit a Black Bay?
Hi, I have recently purchased a Tudor Heritage Black Bay burgundy and wasn't a fan of the metal strap it came with, mainly because of the rivet' bracelet.I really likely the metal strap on the Tudor Ranger and was wondering if this would fit on my BB? The watches, I believe, are both 41mm.I can ask my AD but have always found the folks on this forum to be incredibly knowledgable. Thanks in advanceSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
