On April 30th Cartier celebrated the 100th anniversary of Cartier in North America with an event at the Cartier boutique on Fifth Avenue. Attendees included Bernard Fornas, President & CEO of Cartier International, Fr��d��ric de Narp, President & CEO of Cartier North America as well as photographer Bruce Weber and Alan Khazei, founder and CEO of Be The Change, Inc. See Us Learning To Build Watches This Week #fcwatchweek
Today I will be flying to Geneva to learn how to make a watch and one of you is joining me. If you recall, back in December 2012, our monthly giveaway was for either a Frederique Constant (or Alpina) watch, and the grand prize was a trip to Geneva to build your own watch and take it home with you. Well, now our grand prize giveaway winner, Mr. Andrew E. and I will be fulfilling the experience at the headquarters of Frederique Constant this week.This will be the first time either of us will build a watch. Frederique Constant boasts some nice in-house designed and produced movements, and we will get guidance from their top watch makers. Question Regarding Speedy 3321.80
Hey guys,I'm being offered a Speedy Day Date with a blue dial and gold bezel with a two tone strap. It's from the late 90's. Personally, I think it looks pretty good. Always wanted a blue faced watch ever since I gave my smp to my brother in law.Anyway, I just wanted to ask those of you who know about speedy day dates about the case diameter. I'm getting conflicting reports, officially they're said to have a 37mm diameter, which I think is really small. Others are saying they're 39mm, which would be like my Breguet Type XX, which is fine. So, which is it really?Been trying to look all over but I can't seem to find many records online about this model. So, if any of you have any info about it, it'd be greatly appreciated.Hoping you guys could help me out.regards,lorsban

Movement Peak-a-boo
I just bought a Rolex 6422 and I want to see the movement. If I unscrew the back will it no longer be water proof? Will I need a new gasket? I have documentation from the Watch Buyers Group out of Pasadena that the watch is genuine but, I want to see for myself.
