Hublot and Manchester United Raise Funds for UNICEF
Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver teamed up with players from Manchester United in New York City recently for the Hublot Million Dollar Challenge. The event, staged between the Flatiron and Empire State buildings, drew over 1500 people and raised funds for United for UNICEF, the English club's charity. Manchester United stars including Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Darren Fletcher, and Edwin Van de Sar were on hand, as was team manager Sir Alex Ferguson. The stars tried their best to score a million dollar shot by hitting a small target with the ball. Goalie Edwin van de Sar came the closest, missing by a mere 3 inches. Regardless of the final score, Mr. Biver decided to write a check for $110,008 to United for UNICEF, which has raised more than 4 million dollars. AP Clearwater Service - Thumbs Up!
I just wanted to share my recent experience with AP Clearwater and their service. I've sent watches in to RSC Dallas and PASC Ft. Worth so I do have some experience with OEM service. I must say AP had the most professional and attentive customer service that I've ever experienced. They answered all of my numerous emails and calls, and were always courteous and professional. I've posted a bit about this before because I had a slightly unusual situation, but now that my watch is back home, I couldn't be happier!I bought my E-series ROC 25860 from a watch shop owner in Chicago. It was his personal watch dating back to about 1998 or so. It had a green octagonal box but no papers. I wasn't even sure the box belonged with the watch, but an email to AP confirmed that it actually did ecause this was before the wooden boxes!The major pre-purchase issue was that the chronograph didn't advance past 1 minute so it was sent to a non-AP watchmaker who repaired it before I bought it. 5167 bracelet vs strap
Does the 5167 on a bracelet lose its value more than a 5167 on a strap? I've noticed that even tough the bracelet is quite a bit more than the strap new, preowned there isn't much different in price. If you buy a preowned 5167 on a bracelet can you sell the bracelet and put it on a strap or will that hurt the overall value if the watch?I happen to prefer the strap more but I've come across a pretty good deal on a preowned bracelet but would want to sell the bracelet and put it on a strap. I'd love to hear everyones thoughts and opinions.
