Bremont C17 Globemaster Watch
Here is a nice new piece from Bremont that you can't get. Bremont will produce these C17 Globemaster watches for a select group of "pre-selected" military personnel to get one - basically for one squadron as I understand it. The pieces will be highly limited as well. Each Bremont C17 Globemaster will be limited to just 50 pieces, and it comes in a few versions if I understand correctly. The watch is meant to honor the high-tech C17 cargo plane. I don't think there was ever a cooler looking cargo plane than the C17 Globemaster III. This is probably one of the most modern planes that a watch has been based on. Usually it is a historic plane that gets the "timepiece treatment." Bremont, a primarily aviator watch brand, is said to have worked closely with C17 pilots in developing the watch. Not sure about the size but I would guess in the 43mm wide range. The Trip-Tick style case is in hardened steel with a domed sapphire crystal and exhibition back. The dial is a new direction for Bremont a
Two Royal Oaks
On the way to LAX, I was looking at my 15400 SS white face and thinking if I can own two Royal Oaks, what kind of combination I will have?SS Basic + RG Chronograph orSS Chronograph + RG Basic ?And what color combinations they should? What's your suggestion? And why?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
42mm ROO, black/red or slate grey?
Hey guys! With impending price increase I've decided to pull the trigger on a new ROO that I've been thinking about for some time. Having a tough time deciding between which of the two aforementioned models I should go for. I'd like to be able to wear either watch dressed up or casually. For those of you with the black/red, does the stitching on the strap stand out too much for a more formal business environment? I think the grey is really great to look at it but I wonder if that cool color will start to get plain after a few months. Any input and wristshots would be greatly appreciated!
AP forum tab time ?
With all these new AP owners is it time for TRF to have its own AP forum tab? You guys have excellent watches and make awesome threads. TRF is becoming the go to site for non Rolex discussions in my book, due to the great community of people and environment. I am looking to join the club very soon. just a thought :cheers
Question about 17610 Bezel Inserts
I have noticed a difference in Bezel Inserts for the 16710 particularly where the 2s and 4s have a slight flare out of the white text. Not really sure if this has an official name or not. Does anybody know if there was a time period for when one bezel insert ended and when one started? I looked in the bezel insert thread in the Reference Library and didn't see it mentioned. Pics for clarity:
