scratches
Dear AP enthusiastsi see always here in this forum only pictures from AP watches without any scratches. I wear my Rolex SDDS since almost 10 Yeras on my wrist with a lot of scratches. How look like an AP bezel with more than one scratches.....?Everyone have experiences with broken ceramic bezel? What the cost for ceramic and what is the cost for an metal bezel? Thanks for sharing your pictures with me.....
incoming...with question
Well looks like I've got the watch buying disease....I just picked up this 2531.80 today which makes this now my second Omega in few weeks time. I better slow down. Here's my conundrum: The original owner stated that this watch was purchased new in 2000 and was stored away all this time. If a watch hasn't been running for say 10 years...should I: Take it in and have it and check out and Lubricated, etc?Or just wear it?
A difference in the Omega Discussion area...
Maybe I'm alone here, but has anyone else noticed a bit of a shift inthe Rolex discussion forum? It used to be a very friendly, classy place...Lately there seems to be a lot of angry, inflammatory bickering posts and responses...seems like the mods are working overtime..I'm finding myself over here on the Omega sub forum more often...I'm sure that I am probably reading too much into it, and probably getting a selection Bias based on the threads I choose to read, but I feel that over here (the Omega group), the focus is still on the mutual love and appreciation for the timepieces...It just seems friendlier here - Anyone else notice the same??(Bonus Poll:how many posts until someone tells me to go *&^% myself?)
Number on the white Omega box...
Hi guys,Given I'm relatively new to Omega, I was just curious as to what the number on the white box means? There's a number on the bottom-right corner (with the Omega logo and name facing up) on the side of the box that's superimposed on a picture of an open box.On my SMP GMT, it's 3 and on my Chronoscope GMT it's 6.Any ideas?Tim
My Wife Said What????
I have been Patek shopping trying on different models without my wife. Last Monday we had to take my son to Cincinnati so he could fly back to Florida. We live in Indy and with my dad's death, we were only able to get him a flight back on Allegiant with 4 hours notice. I found the address of a Patek dealer and wanted to try on different models while my wife was shopping at Ikea and other stores. She said she would go with me to my surprise. She has tolerated my watch hobby so far and I was concerned when she asked prices of various pieces. Roll ahead to last night after church, she said she wanted to get me my first Patek for Christmas! Enough said........
