Smartwatch Showdown: Apple Watch vs. the Competition
We recently learned that the long-awaited Apple Watch will be available in April, at a starting price of $349. How does it stack up against existing smartwatches like the Samsung Gear S, Motorola Moto 360, LG G Watch R, and Pebble Steel? Let's take a look.Fit and DesignNo matter how functional, an unattractive product will not win broad consumer acceptance, and though aesthetics may be subjective, size is much less so. Most smartwatches launched to date have been either bland- looking, too large, or both. Apple clearly did its homework, offering its watch in two sizes familiar to watch lovers: 38 and 42 mm (all measurements in this section are in millimeters). The smaller version is the smallest smartwatch yet announced. The Pebble Steel measures a reasonable 46 x 34 x 10.5. The Moto 360 looks great, perhaps even better than the Apple Watch, but at 46 x 11.5, as one hands-on reviewer said, it's a pizza pie for the wrist. LG has not released specs for the G Watch R, but based on the scr
Servicing a Speedmaster (reduced) very little used
I have a Speedmaster (reduced) Schumacher yellow dial which I bought about 15 years ago. I use it very little, perhaps 3 months if that during the 15 years. Essentially when my Rolex was being serviced and a few other opportunities. It works very well although it has never been serviced.Question: does usage influence the needs of servicing? Or is it essentially related to time?I do not really want to spend any money on that watch, on the other hand I want to keep it working. Thanks for your advice.
Everything have a backside
it also applies to my 219.
Watch Cleaning - Brush hairline scratches?
How do you clean your Rolex? I'm worried that if I use a brush to clean my piece some hairline scratches especially on the polished part will show.Any experiences of this happening? I use an old toothbrush btw
inner debat about explorer 2 vs gmt
I have a inner-struggle wheter to buy a gmt master or a explorer 2(new version) I like the watches both, and actually i love the explorer 2 very much for its fact that it fly's under the radar to... Now pricevwise there could be a difference, but i am very unsure if thats significant enough. What discount can one expect on a exp 2 when buying brand new from an AD or reputable grey market dealer? What kinda price should i expect to find when i buy slightly used(2015 or so)I know the gmt has a long wait list in the first place and in the second place is mostly more expensive than the list-price anyway.... I know also the price retaining of a gmt 2 is ways better... But as i said, i love both watches a lot.. But i try out to find the positives and negatives between these 2 beauties...My currently only Rolex is a 114060The exp 2 and gmt batman are the only 2 watches atm that really brings a factor to my soul.
