Watches NEWS
Previously released and out of production models
Does anyone knows of a website that list and catalogs with pictures and details of AP's ( and for that matter any brands ) previously released and out of production models? I know AP website only show their current models but these older watches often pop up in pre-own market.
Questions about ROC fit on small wrist
Well.. i finally got to try on a ROC today! I simply love the watch and dial and it was really tough to take it off. My questions to the experts here are..1. The bracelet does not seem to hug my small wrist as snugly as the Daytona. At the lugs, the bracelet feels very stiff and does not bend enough, leaving a gap between the bracelet and the wrist, if you know what I mean. I'm wondering if it will bother me that the fit is not just right and if there is some way to remedy this. Rubber strap option??2. Is this the newest clasp style? The blades on the clasp do seem a lot longer than Rolex blades and I'm also wondering it that will be another fitting problem.3. Through the protective plastic, I think it looks like this watch is an E serial. How old would that be? And what would be the model number of this watch? I saw some other letters like what appears to be 3135?4. How many removable links should be present on the bracelet? This is a pre-owned watch and there are 3 more removable l
Visibility PP 5960P vs 5960/1A
I have decided that I am most likely going to get a 5960 for my next piece and I am trying to decide on a used P versus the 1A. In terms of general appearance there are aspects I like of both. My main concern is which sundial is easiest to read. SPecifically, it seems like the minute and hour markers are switched. For me visualization of the minute marker is most important. It is hard based on photos--- size and light etc to know which is more readable. I have never seen both side by side. The minute marker on the P version looks easier to read based on the numbers being on the larger circumference but there is more contrast to the numbers on the steel versionCan anyone give some insight.??
Possible discount on 5712's?
I am going to order one monday from the Paris boutique, was wondering if a discount was a possible thing or if it's no use to mention it?Since in many boutiques, Panerai for example, they look at you when you ask for one as if you were crazy, if it's the same thing with PP better to avoid than to get the cold shower answer: Non Monsieur, Patek philippe does not do discounts, with that special tone of voice, where you have the impression the guy is thinking you are buying a 20K + watch and you want a discount? How very cheap of youWent there just one time they were quite courteous, since there was nobody we talked about watches with the salesman and I tried a few, quite nice, whereas in some boutiques the experience was terrible, again Panerai for example, you feel like a homeless who came in to ask for a few bucks by the way they talk to you, I don't know in the US but here some boutiques and AD's are awful whereas some are great. The worse is in Ukraine where I live, in luxury watch
