Vacheron Constantin Vladimir Custom Watch
The owner of this watch named it The Vladimir. He was able to call it whatever he liked because he custom commissioned it from Vacheron Constantin. The brand is among the few that will entertain clients who not only want custom watches, but also custom watch movements. This is part of their highly exclusive "Atelier Cabinotiers" department. Do you know what it takes to design, prototype, perfect, manufacture, finish, and test a watch movement? Usually those costs are built into some type of economy of scale. Now think of all that for just one movement. We are talking incredible prices due to all the time and effort involved. Million bucks minimum. Luckily this client didn't need to go through all of that, but Vacheron Constantin would have done it for the right price.Call me crazy but I am guessing that the buyer of the Vladimir watch is Russian or Chinese. Clearly interested in astronomical complications, he wanted Vacheron Constantin to design and build him one of the most complex wa
New Year Eve Incoming Offshore Novelty SS
So after much deliberation I finally zeroed in on an AP Novelty Offshore in Stainless steel... This is the only AP I have currently but have had the pleasure of owning the 42 mm Panda and the Novelty Forged Carbon in the past.....I was also looking at the All ceramic but somehow could not justify paying the huge difference for it... I'm really digging the colour contrast on the dial of the Novelty Steel and after having owned the FC which I loved for its light weight I now find myself also enjoying the extra weight of the steel...I think this watch will be perfect for regular wear and can be worn both dressed up & dressed down for weekends...Here's some quick shots of my new love :-)
Hulk dilemma
Need some advice. I have been searching for a hulk at my local ADs with no luck. I am traveling to the Carribbean in a few weeks and took a chance emailing the AD on the island a few weeks back asking if they get a hulk in stock to let me know and I will put a deposit on it and pick it up upon my arrival. Fast forward to yesterday and they emailed me that they got one in stock. They want me to pre pay in full for the watch and they will activate my warranty upon payment of the watch. Would anyone have an issue with this? Or would you feel comfortable pre paying for the watch with a known and large AD on the island? Input is appreciated, thank you.
Rolex most comfortable piece and some insights
Hello everyone I got this beauty about a month and I realized that this is the Rolex I should've got from the beginning, the size is perfect and to be honest I never liked Rolex sport models that much, I know I will get a lot of heat for saying this but this the way I feel, I also got another sport watch from a different house and I love that piece (15400 in my last post), 116622bl might go away soon btw
