The MeisterSinger Salthora Changes Up A Singular Design
Many people are fond of single-hand watches, and I can certainly understand the appeal. It is an extremely slick design with a lone hand spinning around the dial. That said, for people such as myself, you can end up losing a bit of precision in your time-telling, even if there is an accurate movement tucked away in the case. If that's the camp you find yourself in, then the MeisterSinger Salthora may just be the solution for you.As they put it, this is still a "typical" MeisterSinger, carrying their clean design and technical chops. The big twist to the MeisterSinger Salthora is the inclusion of a jump hour disc at the 12 o'clock position. To my way of thinking (and preferences), this is about as perfect of an implementation of a single-hand watch as I've seen. You still have the unique presentation that the single hand affords, and then you layer in another level of rarity with the jump-hour disc C all combined to create a watch that reads as accurate as the movement allows it to be.S
Bonhams To Offer Historical Heuer Chronographs At Goodwood Revival This Weekend, Including A Gold Carrera Given To Ferrari Driver Arturo Merzario
This year’s Bonhams vintage car auction at the Goodwood Revival features a selection of fantastic memorabilia, vehicles, and a fantastic selection of vintage watches with some sort of relation to cars. The group (lots 60-77) feature makers such as Omega, Girard Perregaux, Corum, and of course, Heuer. Below we have picked a few of our favorites. The auction takes place this Saturday, September 12th. Lot 66 C Stainless Steel Calendar Chronograph Heuer Carrera 45 Dato, Reference 3147N, 1967 1 OF 8 This stainless steel manual-winding chronograph from 1967 is part of the first series of the Carrera reference 3147. This model features the date aperture at noon, red numerals, and two subsidiary dial configuration also seen in the Carrera 45. This series was in production for only one year. The movement of this piece is the Landeron caliber 189 manual-winding movement, signed Heuer-Leonidas SA. The screw-down case back is the same case style used from 1964-1970 with

Finally got around to taking some pictures of my AP ROC... Here they are!
Premium ($ or %) for tropical dials?
Is there a standard premium $ (or %) for valuation on tropical speedmaster dials?I know Tropical is very subjective. One person's tropical is another person's degradation, aging and mildew. In my eyes, attractive tropical is uniform dark brown / chocolate color on the dial, and hands that match or complement that dial
My wife is a Rolex
I don't know if I can describe it clear enough, but here it goes.My wife is alot like Rolex...shes been around long enough and I still think shes the hottest brand around. A look that doesn't go out of style. She knows what I like and I know she can make it happen..like giving me a ceramic daytona or a ss ceramic GMT BLRO , which makes my day (and the day after). And I don't like other brands, i'm the kind of person that sticks to what I like...but all I get is datejust now and then...and don't get me wrong, I like datejust (very much), but what's the big deal? If she knows what I like, & she already bought that crazy looking blue and red cermaic bezel why doesn't she put it on? Why the long waiting list ? I can't help wondering....did I do something wrong and Rolex wants me to think about it?
