Hands-On: With the Monoposto, Autodromo's First Mechanical Watch (Live Pics)
A few weeks ago we gave you an early look at the Monoposto, the first mechanical watch from Autodromo, a cool, well-conceived upstart based right here in NYC. Inspired by mid-century Italian grand prix cars, the Monoposto combines serious motoring heritage with very wearable style. Today we give you a hands-on look at this limited edition automatic. At 43mm, the Monoposto is starting to get up there in size, but it wears nicely. The tapered case sits nicely on the wrist and the thin, turned bezel makes the watch appear a millimeter or two smaller than it really is. The wire lugs might make changing straps a little fiddly, but they are pitched at just the right angle to keep the watch sitting nicely. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the details here. 2 OF 23 The Autodromo Monoposto, Black Dial The dial is bright, clean, and easy to read, but the first thing you'll probably notice is the bright red line between 9 and 10 o'clock. Enabling required: AP in Singapore
On a trip to Singapore, spotted this AP AD and couldn't help dropping in. I really like the silver dial RO.... I don't know if my math is off but after Tax refund and exchange rate, this watch is cheaper here than in the US...?!Anyways, just wanted to share. Trying to make a decision before I leave.
Incoming sd43!!
I couldn’t believe how great and handsome this watch was when my AD offered it to me. I sold my blnr and ended up wanting it again so it was between this and the blnr, looks like the sd43 won and I couldn’t be happier! The proportions on this watch are fantastic and fits like a 42mm. People say it can’t be a daily but I’ll be wearing mine everyday. My wrists are on the smaller side but I still like it. One downside I may have with it is getting it to fit not too snug or not too tight. But that red text adds so much character to the watch and yet it’s so subtle, I love it. All in all beautiful watch and happy to finally have it on my wrist! Also I took some iPhone X pics and it kept telling me the resolution was too big. Anyone know how to fix it this? Sorry novice photo poster :/. But I want to share wrist shots and would love to see what you guys think!
Your college degree and your Rolex.
This is inspired by the your Rolex and your profession thread. Now I'm from England where we call it university and you only do one subject but I understand the Americans amongst you minor and major in things etc.Personally I'm in my first semester at college and also trying to run a business. My degree is in accounting. I will be getting a Subc or Explorer II as soon as I save my last 500 or so. I currently have a Breitling and a JLC Reverso. So did you go to college ? If so what is your degree subject ? and obviously which Rolex/Rolex's do you own ?
Coke, Pepsi-fied!
Got my local AD to order and put in a Pepsi bezel in my recently acquired F serial. Also added a link for a good comfortable fit. Life is beautiful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
