Hands-On, Literally, With the Eone Bradley
If I were to ask you to picture a wrist watch, perhaps you'd picture an iconic design like a Submariner, your personal favorite watch or maybe even what you are wearing at the moment. In any of those cases, you are likely imagining a metal case with a crystal of some sort above a dial with at least 2 (or perhaps 1) hands. All of them, whether by Patek or by Timex use the same conventions for displaying time, and aesthetics that while possible wildly different use similar vocabularies of markers, shapes, textures, etc… Well, occasionally a watch comes out that breaks, at least partially, from the norm to create something truly different. Often, these watches are different for the sake of being different, but the Eone Bradley was designed for a very specific reason. Before getting into the watch itself, it's worth knowing the background story and where the name comes from. Watches for the blind have not been refined since.. well, now. There basically are watches that speak, which is
Me and the Missus wore these to a party last night.. .
I've never been one to pay much attention to his and her matching timepieces but I thought these two did look pretty good on the wrists last night. Spring has finally arrived in the northeast - enjoy your Sunday everyone.
AP ceramic
I have read an article saying that the white ceramic on the diver is 1850 vickers, while the black is 1350, don't speak to me but they say the white is 9 times harder than steel, I find that a little hard to believe, what do you think?I read post of some owners that chip their bezels without big shocks, if it was so hard would it chip?Have read posts of ceramic cases breaking when falling on tile floor, but that was Panerai, I suppose the ceramic they use is not the same quality as AP, I know that when I go bike riding I don't take it as if I fall and it hits something it will surely break, steel bends ceramic not, I wanted a ceramic watch in part because of it being very hard to scratch, has anyone here chipped or scratched a bezel or case in ceramic from AP?Thanks guys
Trigger pulled on James Cameron
Would like to share new income. Although I own SD43, but the DSSD Blue was always in my mind, and now with discontinuity rumors, trigger was pulled as soon as I found it yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
