REMINDER: New York watches-dealer Event With Girard-Perregaux July 25th
We would like to remind New York City and surrounding area residents that July 25th, 2013 is the evening of the watches-dealer & Girard-Perregaux Summer Soiree event at the Girard-Perregaux Boutique on Madison Avenue. The event begins at 6pm and continues at the adjacent Club Macanudo next door at 8pm. We have a bit more room for guests at the boutique, and anyone unable to get a space can join us at Club Macanudo.All the relevant details can be found here when we announced our evening of horological entertainment with Girard-Perregaux. Why I am no longer thinking about getting an AP
Because I got one! Thanks for all the comments in my last thread regarding my debate between the Diver and the 15400 or 15202. I tried on all three (yes, my AD had a 15202 in the back, not on display) and the one that really sang to me was the Diver. Today is my first day of wearing it and I've found that it fits very comfortably on my 6.5 wrist and I don't think it looks too big at all. Anyway, here are a few pics...

After a few years of waiting and months of searching, it's here - The Nautilus. Opening the packaging and wearing it for the first time made the wait well worth it. The watch looks amazing in person and feels great on the wrist. It may be a while before this comes of the wrist. Have a great weekend.

Thanks again to Mike and his 372 thread and it reminded me how much I needed the 190 AGAIN! This itch took about 5 years to scratch and man... it feels sooooooooooooooooooooo good to finally scratch it! Few bumps along the way with a career change and after some level of stability, I am finally back with this baby. Man.. is it worth the wait! Legendary butter smooth winding is head on and the combination of the gold hands with the rad case is silky sleek to look at... what a beautiful piece. Hello gents,I'm looking to join the club, getting my first Rolex. :)I have been looking for ages, and think I finally managed to find one that seems to fit the bill.It's a 2008 YM platinum in almost perfect condition (95%). Been part of a bigger collection, thus only worn 2-3 days a month on avg. according to the sellerplete set........ only it hasn't ever been serviced!Seller, apparently a true watch-geek :) talks about having instruments that through sound, can tell whether or not the watch makes any 'wrong' sounds/needs service. My question is obvious: Do I have anything to worry about, or can a watch like this easily tick for 10 years without the need for a service? And if so, when should I expect to have to service it (planning on using it as my daily watch (desktop worker))Seller is asking top-price for the watch (€6.600 non neg.)Looking forward to your advicesThank you in advanceSam
