Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24 Secondes Watch For 2010
In platinum, the watch case and dial of this Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24 Secondes (yes, spelled like that) watch feel as though they were milled from a solid piece of the precious metal. There is so much platinum in this watch - it boggles the mind. Actually, the the dial, markers, and hands are in gold - but they are toned to look like platinum. I believe that 2010 model of the Tourbillon 24 Secondes is only available in platinum. I am sure there will be gold models soon, but gold isso pedestrian, right? Unlike the watch that is featured in the video, the platinum model for 2010 has a redesigned dial - which is better in my opinion - as well as some other changes. In that video you can see exactly how this movement operates. The tourbillon is oriented at an incline, and moves around its axis once each 24 seconds. For that reason there is a subsidiary 60 seconds dial that is placed right next to it. Movement is the Greubel Forsey made calibre GF 01, and like all Greubel Forsey movement
15300 white dial legibility
I am currently looking to add a 15300 to my collection. I really like the blue dial best, but it will be unlikely I find one. So now I am looking into the white dial, but a little concerned with the legibility. Any 15300 owners who can give some feedback would be greatly appreciated. I also consider the 15450, but the dial looks like this dial might be even more shimmery, so any feedback on that would also be helpful. Thank you very much. - chris
Anyone in the US get there Speedy Tuesday yet
Looks like many are getting but don't think I have seen any delivered to the US yet. Can't wait such a beautiful watch and the prictures of the lucky few that have received them making it harder.
1999 Seamaster Professional 300m 2254.50
I am looking to buy a pre-owned unit of this watch, may I ask the following:What comes with the sales package back in 1999? (Chronometer certificate, user manual, etc.)How many links should come with the watch?Seller says the watch has never been opened and still keeps excellent time and power reserve of 48h. Does the watch need servicing soon considering the age of the watch? Thanks TRF
Is this in fact a glacier dial?
Hi there,Just got a gorgeous 118239 (plus factory bezel). The dial has a little tint of blue to it - it's more apparent in certain kinds of light. The merchant from whom I purchased it sold it to me as silver (I'm not upset, I like this look) and when I asked about the tint, he said upon further research it appears to be the glacier dial. I thought the glacier was more blue, but apparently, that's ice blue. I just want to know what I have ... here are a few photos. Does this read as glacier to you? If not, what do we think it is?Thanks for your help!
