One of my favorite places in the world is the Monterey Bay area along the central coast of California. I've regularly traveled to Monterey and adjacent cities such as Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach since I was a child - perpetually enjoying the natural beauty and particular events found in the region. Each August, "Classic Car Week" fills the streets, hotels, and almost every venue, with people coming to town for the Concours d'Elegance, as well as related events which are all about celebrating (as well as buying and selling) beautiful and distinguished automobiles. For quite some time now, the official sponsor of the Concours and other events, such as that at the Mazda Speedway at Laguna Seca and the Quail Lodge show is Rolex watches. Im looking to pickup a Breitling Aerospace .. . not sure why .. . . LOL.I got a good look at this watch and the more i wear watches i find this may be a good . . .Grab-And-Go watch. Sometimes im running late and NEED a watch to tell how far behind i am ... the extra time to pickup a watch that has not been on a winder would be very nice (Instead of grabbing up one of my Citizen Eco-Drives).What is the difference in the most recent series and the previous . . . which should i get (based on your opinion)?Please Share anything you can .. . Any opinion about the 5140P being phased out?
Personally, I really like the 5140P; especially the dark grey sunburst 017 dial. I was actually seriously thinking about acquiring one, as my FIRST PP. And now, I hear it's on the executioner's list. Is this a good thing or bad thing? I was just wondering what the general consensus is on this model.
