Recommend 3rd AP? To 15305,15707
Ok need to scratch another itch. I have the 15305OR and 15707CE. I wear the 15305 to work and evening outings. The 15707 is great for casual days with the kids, car events, sports outings etc. So I'm looking for a 3rd AP that could do a little of both, but a bit sporty. I'm thinking something in stainless steel or a combination with RG. Needs to be 42mm or less. Leaning towards a ROO?Sent from my Zeitwerk
SMP "Speedy" bracelet vs. Speedmaster "Speedy" bracelet
Over the years, Omega has offered the Seamaster Professional with two bracelet options: The basket weave Bond or the Speedy styled bracelet.Someone on another forum asked why the Speedy Pro (3570.50) bracelet seemed lighter than his SMP Speedy bracelet. FYI, here is the answer I shared. The only difference between the two bracelets is the clasp.Top view:Side views with the SMP on top:Side by side with SMP in the forefront:The design of the SMP bracelet makes it heavier. Note that the SMP clasp is longer and contains a diver expansion; i.e., more steel; ergo, more weight. As most of your know, I do not care for the ref. 1998 Speedy Pro bracelet due to the extreme arc of the clasp. The SMP clasp is flatter and wears more comfortably on my wrist.I also prefer the SMP Speedy bracelet over the Bond. I prefer the fit and taper of the Speedy. And over time the Bond links wear and become unsightly. The Speedy links are more easily maintained.
Incoming SMP 3570.50
I fell for Speedmasters via the great 9300. Maybe a little bit backwards, though who can say. But having the 9300 gave me the hankering for the classic 3570.50, so I picked one up this weekend from the master of Speedmasters Kringkily. Everything that everyone says about this watch us true, and it deserves the great reputation it has.
5990 considerations
Hi All, Thinking hard about the 5990...chrono and GMT are probably the complications I like the most and a grey dial adds some variety to what I currently have in the stable. Out of curiosity, what kind of discount have you been getting at AD for this? I know it varies by country/city - if it makes a difference the cities I spend the most time in are full of many deep pocketed individuals (New York, Singapore, London) who buy a lot...Anyone love/hate the 5990? AQUANAUT COMFORT 5167 vs 5164
Hey mates - I'm looking at adding a 5164 to my collection after giving my 5167 away and despite the larger size, was interested in comments regarding the comfort level of the 5164. Is it as comfortable as the 5167 on rubber ? What about water proofness ? Anyone swim with theirs given the pushers on the 5164 ? Thanks for the feedback !
