SIHH Preview: Audemars Piguet Millenary Minute Repeater
Audemars Piguet created minute repeater and grand strike pocket watches from its founding in 1875, and they claim the first minute repeater wristwatch, produced in 1892. The new Millenary Minute Repeater incorporates the manufacture’s newest technical developments: the AP escapement and a double balance-spring, as well as the striking mechanism and its gongs. The result is an auditory and visual delight for the 21st century. The striking mechanism is the oldest of all complications. WW1 Omega
Hello all,As a newbie I love all the knowledge that these forums provide.I have had this watch for several years and know little about it. It was purchased on a whim and I am thinking of selling it etc. The main spring has finally given out ,but prior, for last 4 years it was in my rotation and kept very good time. Would anyone have an idea as to its history and actual sale value? I don't want to list it at an unreasonable price. I don't seek profit, just fair market value. Many thanks.
Wrist Shots of some New Models at AD
Got to try a few on today at the Tiffany Location in Manhattan.favorite was the 5524 & 5170i learned the 5524 travel time buttons have a quarter turn action on them so they do not get accidentally depressed. the buttons felt very nice with a soft sturdy detent feeling to them when turned.5270R looked amazing but i didn't try it on5370 was not available to see.side note all watches were non functioning.
