PP 5980 vs AP 15305rg
I have been browsing this forum for a while now, which has underpinned my recent purchase of the beautiful ROO 44 RG. Facing with a new dilemma which I could not decide, I'm turning to seek wisdom from all of you, watch fans.Today, my AD called an offered a chance to by one of my dream watchs, the Rose Gold 15305. But, having bought the 44 RG, I'm thinking about trading my 5980 for it.What do you guys think? Is it worth it? Your thoughts are very much appreciated! Here, I'm leaving you with pics of watches under my collection, perhaps as reference for you kind comments. Thanks again!PP 59805980.jpgAP 1520215202.jpgAP 2640126401.jpg
Vintage omega Seamaster
Hi, I am new to forum and am currently trying to build my rolex collection. I also have a vintage omega Seamaster in rose gold. I have a few Nato straps and a couple of leather ones that I alternate between. It would be great if anyone could tell me anything about it. Ie age and cal if possible. I really don't know much other than I liked the look. I have had it serviced and it runs brilliantly. I think it may date from around 1950/60s? Thanks!
Ok, so I THINK I know the answer but....
I just got a white dialed Rolex Datejust a couple of months ago. To the dismay of my wife, I'm thinking of adding another nice watch to my household. [Hey, I just turned 52, complex anyone...?] Anyway, I want a black dialed moonphase chrono. So, there is the Omega Speedmaster, or the Longines moonphase, costing about $1,500 less. Gotta get the Omega, right??
Looking for AD in So Cal or Vegas
I'm planning on buying a 5167. Im in the Los Angeles area. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good Patek AD in So Cal or Vegas? Also, can you expect any discount on a watch like 5167? Thanks in advance.
Sydney supply drastically reduced
A friend of mine is looking to buy a Rolex soon so we went to most of the dealers (grey market and AD) in Sydney and the supply is far lower than it used to be. See comments below (previous supply in brackets).Swiss Concept- no stainless steel sports rolexes, not accepting names to the waiting lists for any SS Sports. lots of space in the datejust cabinets (previously they would accept names to waiting lists and had a full cabinets of datejusts. I bought my 114060 in Nov 16 as a walk in buyer, however I'm told that was a flukeKennedy's - no SS sports and gaps in the DJ cabinets (previously DJ cabinets were full)Hour Glass - DJ cabinets 1/3 empty, (DJ cabinets used to be full)J Farren Price - quite a lot of DJs, no SS sports (same as before)Sydney Airport (Went last week) - a fair number of DJs no SS sportsSydney Vintage Watches - only SS sports was a preowned Deep Sea (they used to have c.5 preowned subs at a time)grey dealer in The Strand - Daytona C for 29k AUD (22.5k USD), sold bu
