What would happen if traditional watchmaking techniques died out? For Stephen Forsey and Robert Greubel, this thought was anathema. Their namesake company, Gruebel Forsey, relies on these very techniques to produce timepieces that have become lore among modern collectors. If these techniques die out, then their future, and the future of other high-end independents dies out too. So, to prolong these traditions, they joined forces with Philippe Dufour to create an incubator program for fully hand-crafted watchmaking called Naissance d’une Montre.
