Omega Newbie Needs Assistance
So I've always been the Rolex guy and have been looking seriously at an AT 8500 with the blue dial. Saw it tonight and man is it pretty. Ive been told Omega had some quality issues sometime ago but now the 8500 in house is well done. I know this is 100% subjective but how does the 8500 movement compare to a similar Rolex movement which in this case would be a sub I think.
Neil Peart (Rush Musician) Good Samaritan Patek Story
I do not own a Patek, but would love to one day. I wondered if people herein cared about this heartwarming story... Neil had a bag fall off a bike years ago, guy left him a voicemail saying he found it roadside.. Elementary question of chrono functionality?
Take the 5170 for example, it incorporates a scale to measure heart rate, ideally this is a precision instrument with the expectation of accuracy? My question is this:If you are a Doctor & would like to utilize the functionality of your precision wrist tool to some degree of accuracy, which is designed to measure heart rate, how exactly do you press the start button (located on your left wrist) after you have located the patients pulse point (using your right hand), without removing your hand from the patients wrist/ pulse point?I ask because a pulse point can often be a very tricky thing to locate, depending on the patients fitness & condition.Ordoes the concensus feel there should be no expectation of using this watch in such a fashion?
Should rolex introduce a diver with a day & date?
i would like to hear some thoughts on this. as many desk divers exist i think it is quite interesting.wonder what it could looks like...
