Just in Time for the 500: TW Steel Launches Dario Franchitti Edition
Based on TW Steel's TECH design, the Dario Franchitti Edition was produced in collaboration with the two-time IndyCar Series Champion and 2007 Indianapolis 500 winner. The watch features blue, green and red highlights – Franchitti's helmet colors, reflecting the Scottish and Italian flags that symbolize his heritage. The red 10 represents Franchitti’s number during his 2009 IndyCar season and the green 2 and 7 represent the number 27 he wore during his 2007 Indy 500 win. Franchitti’s name appears in blue on the tachymeter ring while his logo, signature and title successes feature on the case-back.TW Steel celebrated the launch during qualifying weekend with a cocktail event in Indianapolis, where guests mingled with Franchitti, IndyCar star Scott Dixon, and IndyCar legend Arie Luyendyk.The watch is offered in 45mm and 48mm sizes and it will be available in mid-July with suggested retail prices of $850 (45mm) and $895 (48mm). New Omega PO
I've come back to Omega thanks to an assist from Fr John! With a referral to his AD I received a brand new Planet Ocean with the 2500D movement last week. Was a little unsure of the black and orange dial at first. However, after wearing it for a few days I have really grown to like it. Here are the pics.....

Did some work for a local dealership and the general finance manager had to show me his newest aquisition...Ceramic!He said he had his AD, our friends Henne Jewelers I think he said, special order this for him as it wasn't scheduled to arrive for a while.Quite attractive, I must say!(And the Omega is nice as well. )

Idea for tie pin/tie tack
I'm not the type to wear jewelry other than watches. I don't even wear my custom made carbon fiber wedding band but my grandfather left me some diamonds and a horseshoe diamond tie tack (some of you horseman may have knew him. Loyd Ford Sr. He got Larry Jones into training back in the 80s/90s. Filled his barns way he could pursue the life of training with his wife Cindy Jones. They've had some Ky Derby shots including Eight Bells). Alright enough babbling just making my point that our family was a horse racing family and the horse shoe tie tack was part of it but since I am no longer in the horse scene I was thinking of having a Calatrava symbol made with the diamonds for a tie tack or pin. I think the tack would be better and less dressy but any and all thoughts welcome. Any pics welcome too! I've seen the solid gold Calatrava cuff links and they are nice but silver will be my style for them since would go with WG or Platinum.
