Help with some information on a vintage Seamaster a buddy wants to sell me
Good morning everyone! I'm in need of a bit of help, I think I'd like to buy a vintage Omega Seamaster from a friend but I can't seem to google exactly the information I'm looking for to make a wise decision. It's running but of course not real well, and the face is pretty grungy. Well without further ado ... Here he is: I really like the watch. I'm assuming it's a calibre 354 and then the serial number will somehow date it. I'm used to Rolex, so much easier to date and research. I'll certainly get rid of the speidel band ..... lol, or does that make the watch? Thanks for any help I can get. I just love these old pieces. Needless to say: it was a moment in time. 1st Omega Very Impressed!
This is my 1st new omega and courtesy of Father John thank you for the prompt shipping and great price the quality is awesome on this watch from the bracelet to every aspect. Let me say I'm not a big bracelet guy so that's usually the first thing to come off I put a rubber strap on this because I plan on swimming with it the rest of my watches including my Daytona all have leather.

Options to change my Speedmaster's dial
Hi everyone, first post so please be gentle. I picked up a Speedmaster Date a little over a year ago when the local shop was clearing out their Omega stock at a substantially reduced price. Only thing is, it was the all silver model. While it looks good, I'd prefer it had been the black dial and bezel. Is this something a dealer would be willing to swap out for me? I've read that they will not customize, I'm simply hoping they'll replace with parts from the same model. I'd considering having it done elsewhere, but I'm worried about Omega refusing to honor any warranty work if it should ever be necessary. Thanks!
