Jaeger-LeCoultre Launches New Rendez-Vous Ladies Watch with Diane Kruger
German actress Diane Kruger, known for her roles as Helen of Troy in 2004’s Troy and Bridget von Hammersmark in the 2009 Quentin Tarantino WWII film Inglorious Basterds, has been a brand ambassador for Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre since 2009, and now she serves as the inspiration for JLC’s new collection of ladies’ watches, called Rendez-Vous.Jaeger-LeCoultre, which was founded in 1833, has a long tradition of making watches for women, starting as early as the 1880s with the creation of LeCoultre Caliber 7Hp, one of the first round watch movements with an exceptionally small diameter, which was used in numerous enameled, diamond-set and pearl-beaded timepieces that ladies of the time wore around their neck. In the 19th century, when men still clung to pocketwatches, Jaeger-LeCoultre was among the watchmakers that created made-to-order wrist-borne timepieces, many of them bedecked with jewels, for the women who were the early adopters of that style.Diane Kruger we
New Planet Ocean 2011
Hello Forum,Despite not having any photo or idea of the new PO, i was wondering if you guys would already buy the actuall PO or waite for the new model. My other question is how much expensive it will become as it will have the new in house movement, and if the old model will become cheaper or even discontinued..I would like to know all your opinions.Cheers
First PP - 5167
Apologies in advance for bad photo from cell phone.I need to quit reading these forums - it is bad for my bank accounts!Well, after a long, long period of deliberation, I unloaded my 116520 Daytona and settled on a Patek - an aquanaut 5167.I'm pretty thrilled! It is weird to be without a Rolex for the first time in 10+ years (I've owned 3). But the PP is really nice! Here's a quick summary of why I made the switch. Usual caveat that these are my opinions only.Downsides for the Datyona - I found legibility to be poor due to lack of anti-reflective coating and very busy dial. And the watch never really sat comfortably on my arm and was in constand battle with my shirt sleves. Also, I wish I could see the movement!Upsides for the Daytona - Looks incredible and has an amazing history. Every watch fan should own a Daytona at least once. Rolexes are built like tanks. No need to baby them.Downside for 5167 - Wish the band had some micro adjustment feature vs. using a scissors to cut
Details of production numbers per reference?
Hello fellow enthusiasts,Quick question. Does anybody possess information where it states the number of watches produced per year for a certain reference? For example. Ref PAM 112N series 2000P series 1200R series 1500If anyone has the database with the model numbers could you share that? Would be great to know more of the facts and figures. Thanks everyone.
New Root Beer should really be the Espresso?!
The only think linking this new model to the old is the brown portion of the bezel. The original Root Beer had a light brown dial and either all brown, or brown and yellow bezel. Not a black dial and black and brown bezel. I'm calling this the espresso....even if nobody else does
