Hands-On: With The Zenith Captain Power Reserve (Live Pics & Pricing)
A few months ago at Baselworld 2014, Zenith unveiled a new update to the Captain Power Reserve. It's an elegant package with a clean display that comes in a few outstanding colorways, and it is one of the more affordable watch in Zenith's arsenal. Inside if one of Zenith's in-house Elite calibers and the looks make it a flexible daily-wear option. At first glance, this watch has a lot going for it. The slim case is 40mm across and admirably thin at 9.25mm. The thin bezel gives way to a domed sapphire crystal that gives you an extremely clear view of the dial. It's a little reflective, which can be frustrating in bright light, but overall it's very clean looking. 2 OF 6 Around the edge of the dial is a chapter ring with small Roman numerals and inside that are large faceted batons to mark the hours. The central sword shaped hands reflect a lot of light and are very easy to read, while the sub-seconds at 9 o'clock has a blued steel hand that traverse

Seamaster from 90s
My father bought this seamaster in 1990, had it on the wrist till to unwearable (see the lugs), then forgot in the basement for a long time. I know nothing about Omega, would like to know more about it, and wondering is it repairable? or worth to do so? If the repair cost won't be skyhigh, I would choose to have it restored. Thanks!
Help! 5164R or....
Hey Everyone!I was offered a brand new 5164R for my rose gold royal oak chrono (new brown dial). Do you think it's a fair trade?
6917 (DJ) Question
My wife has expressed an interest in a watch. Issues is, what she likes (size/style) wise is (in my opinion) overpriced unless it's been redone by a jeweler with aftermarket dial/bezel. Question is: How terrible is to have a (ladies) watch with a non-factory dial/bezel? I understand the pitfalls of Rolex service and their policy on non-factory parts. But, beyond that? There are several to be had in the less than $3K range right now on Ebay (for instance). I have bought twice from sellers here but the ladies watches don't seem to be that popular for resale/gray market sales so not much luck there. It's between a DJ with aftermarket (diamond) bezel and MOP dial..... or a 29mm Yacthmaster which would come 100% complete and correct with all boxes/paperwork. The difference between the two price wise doesn't matter all that much to me. Thoughts?
