Concord C1 Chronograph Watch Design Critique: Mistake Of Form Over Function
A good deal of thought goes into the design of most watches. The result must be a blend of attractive visual elements combined with the features necessary for the watch to adequately tell the time. There is no "correct" way to do this, but the skilled designer must take take both the concept of form and function seriously. A watch falling too far to either extreme can be devoid of appeal.Recently, the Concord brand has begun an image re-haul. The Movado owned watch brand was due for revitalization. Having had success with the Concord La Scala and Concord Saratoga lines, nothing serious has come out of Concord in about 10 years. In fact the La Scala and Saratoga watches are wonderful designs, attractive and pleasantly unique. Movado however felt the brand needed to be thrust in a new direction. New RG ROC 26022
After purchasing a ROC Panda dial last year, it immediately became my new daily and I ended up wearing it more than my Daytona WG Panda. That covered my daily and weekends but I still needed a more dressy watch and wanted something in RG. I did own a Daytona RG chocolate but honestly the dial was very hard to read and I never clicked with that watch. And to be honest this AP ROC was never in my radar because the online pics just didn't do it for me, but after seeing instagram photos of Anil Arjandas and his complete AP RG collection including this one, I was blown away by it. Then the search started for a BNIB one and after months I finally allocated one outside of RF.Overall I have to say, I'm blown away by this watch. The wrist presence is simply stunning. AP has done an amazing job on the dial; the color combo of grey, RG and brown strap just work flawless together. And the RG brushed finish on the case? I mean it's a RO, if the SS looks that good, I could have only imagined

Any issues with 5712 on Watchwinder?Any specific settings for the winder clockwise vs counterclockwise Sorry if this has been discussed before just didn't know if the micro rotor or specific mechanism for the 5712 should be any different. Thanks so much in advance.

It just arrived and I like it even more than I did in the store.To me, it's the perfect combination with all of the attributes I was looking for: it's sporty, casual, dressy, and has several complications that I don't currently have (chrono, annual calendar, power reserve, etc). Just as important, it's one of the most modern looking Pateks. Thanks again to the enablers and support!
