Putting a vintage through airport scanners
I'm just wondering for future reference if putting a vintage watch through an airport scanner would magnetize the movement. In the past I've heard that since vintage watches don't have the same antimagnetic properties that modern watches have when it comes to their movements. So, I was just wondering what you guys do when you travel with a vintage.

Newbie - saying hello
Am looking to buy my first Rolex this year. Waiting to see what happens in Basel. But my aim is to go for a watch I can wear daily and keep for many years. Contenders are of course the SUB (No-date), but I do also like the Explorer I and am pondering others in the range.
