Watches NEWS
Hands-On: With The Red Gold Piaget Altiplano 900P, The Thinnest Mechanical Watch In The World (Live Pics & Pricing)
Back in December we gave you the very first live photos of the Piaget 38mm Altiplano 900P, the thinnest mechanical watch in the world. The 900P celebrates Piaget's 140th anniversary and continues the manufacture's long tradition of pushing the limits of ultra-thin watches. At SIHH we got our hands on the red gold version of this watch and were just as impressed with it as we were with the white gold version. Here's a recap of what makes the 900P so special and a detailed look at the rose gold presentation. Enjoy. 2 OF 13 The Piaget 38mm Altiplano 900P had to take an entirely new approach to construction in order to achieve its amazing 3.65mm profile. Most significantly, the case is directly integrated into the movement instead of there being a discrete movement placed inside a separate case. The right size
I'm doing a little debating between the 15300 and 15400, like I'm sure many have before me. I do not live in an area that has an AP dealer nearby so I'm flying a bit blind. There are several threads that already cover people's preference so I'm not looking to reboot that, but does anyone have advice for me with my inability to actually try one on?I guess I could always wait until I travel to a city with an AD but I even then I'm not guaranteed to run across either one of those models. Has anyone ever purchased one blindly and then flipped to the other because of size preference?
Speedmaster Racing lume
Thought I might try capturing a lume shot.. interesting result! To my eyes, the lume looks green - but whenever I took a photo it always came out blue.I tried fiddling around with white balance, but it always came out blue. Bizarre. I tried with both my old, crappy canon point and shoot and with my iphone. Same result.Anyway, here's the shot.
Wotancraft Reinforcement on PAM 389 !
My first Wotancraft strap and totally worth it !! .. the craftsmanship is apparent at first sight ! CS is first class .. Right up there with the finest from Ted Su, this is likely the best Ammo strap I have ever handled. The texture of the leather is amazing ... haven't seen anyth like it except from NuriZeugma ..CheersN
Dealers in Frankfurt
Can any members here kindly recommend me dealers to visit in Frankfurt? Will be there tom and looking to kill some time. To be specific I'm not looking for ADs but rather those dealing with pre-owned/vintage models. Thanks in advance!
